KidRec Dance Program

Learn the steps and show them off! Participants (ages 5–13) will learn a choreographed routine with the choice to perform at our KidRec Got Talent Night on Friday, July 24 at 4:00 PM. With hip-hop and jazz-inspired styles, our dance instructor will teach fun, high-energy moves to help each child build confidence and shine on stage.

  • Summer Session Dates: Monday–Thursday, July 6–July 9
  • Times:  5-5:45 p.m. each day
  • Cost: $50 for members / $60 for non-members

Intro to Lifting

Intro to Lifting introduces young athletes (ages 8–13) to the world of fitness in a safe, supportive, and educational environment. Participants learn how to properly use cardio machines and weight-training equipment while building confidence navigating the fitness floor. Each class emphasizes safety, proper form, and age-appropriate fitness skills, along with discussions on healthy habits and lifestyle choices they can carry into their daily routines.

  • Summer Session Dates: Monday–Thursday, July 13–July 16
  • Times:  5-5:45 p.m. each day
  • Cost: $50 for members / $60 for non-members

Youth Lifting II

Youth Lifting II is the next level of our Intro to Lifting program, designed to enhance and grow your child’s fitness foundation. Participants (ages 8–13) build on fundamental skills through structured strength training, general movement patterns, endurance-building workouts, and guided instruction from a certified personal trainer. Requirement: Completion of at least one Intro to Lifting session prior to enrollment.

  • Summer Session Dates: Monday–Thursday, July 20–July 23
  • Times:  5-5:45 p.m. each day
  • Cost: $50 for members / $60 for non-members

Speed & Agility

The Speed & Agility program is designed for young athletes (ages 8–13) looking to enhance their quickness, coordination, and overall athletic performance. Through structured drills and movement-based training, participants develop faster reaction times, sharper footwork, stronger stability, and more efficient movement patterns. This class supports athletes across all sports and helps build confidence, body awareness, and strength to perform at their best.

  • Summer Session Dates: Monday–Thursday, July 27–July 30

Intro to Dabka Dance

Dabka Dance is a powerful and rhythmic Arab folk dance deeply rooted in Palestinian, Lebanese, Syrian and Jordanian culture. Traditionally performed at weddings and other celebrations, Dabka involves stomping, synchronized footwork and shoulder-to-shoulder unity. Class instructor Mohammed Darawsha is an accomplished performer, choreographer and instructor of Dabka Dance with more than 20 years of experience teaching Dabka Dance to children and adults of all ages. He has worked and performed with folklore dance troupes in Palestine, Europe and the United States.

  • Summer Session Dates: Monday-Thursday, July 20-23 (Optional talent show on July 24)
  • °Õ¾±³¾±ð²õ:Ìý 5:15-6 pm or 6:15-7 pm (two separate class times)
  • Cost: $50 for members / $60 for non-members (cost per weekly class, 5:15-6 pm or 6:15-7 pm)
