The 911 Academic Theater Department presents its upcoming production of “The Thanksgiving Play,” April 24 to 25 and May 1 to 2, at 7:30 p.m., and April 26 and May 3 at 3 p.m., in the Fine and Performing Arts Center’s (FPAC) John and Angeline Oremus Theater, 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills.
MacArthur Genius author Larissa FastHorse wrote this skewering and satirical comedy about four well-intentioned teachers and actors who walk into an elementary school to work on a Thanksgiving play that won’t ruffle any feathers. Just about everything goes wrong in the rambunctious, thorny and not altogether politically correct play about the hypocrisies of “woke” America served to audiences on a big, family-style platter.
The cast includes:
Logan – Veronica Knutsen, of Orland Park
Jaxton – Matthew Dever, of Evergreen Park
Caden – Michael Mills, of Oak Lawn
Alicia – Francesca Crosby, of Oak Lawn
