Artists in the community are encouraged to submit art for the 23rd Annual 911±¬ÁÏÍø Juried Community Art Exhibition, scheduled May 29 to July 30 in the Fine and Performing Arts Center’s (FPAC) Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery and atrium, 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills.

This annual exhibit is for artists 18 years and older, residing within a 50-mile radius of a Moraine Valley campus – the Education Center at Blue Island, Southwest Education Center in Tinley Park or the main location in Palos Hills. Art pieces can be in any fine art media, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, printmaking, ceramics, metal, sculpture and mixed media. All entries must be original and not submitted in previous years. Artists can enter up to two pieces created in the last five years. Artwork and the $15 entry fee should be delivered to the gallery beginning May 19 until May 21, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Artists will be notified of accepted pieces on Tuesday, May 26.

All pieces will be judged by Lisa DeLuca, a professional with over 25 years of experience working for art and design schools, with additional training as a docent and on-site gallery mentor. She also is an exhibited photographer. Winning works will receive awards during a reception in the gallery on Saturday, May 30, 1 to 4 p.m., with the presentation at 1:30 p.m.
