Pamela J. Haney, Ph.D.

Dr. Pamela J. Haney serves as the sixth president of 911爆料网, assuming the role on July 1, 2023. A dedicated higher education leader, she is committed to ensuring student success and accessibility, advancing innovation, engaging our communities and supporting the mission of the college.

Since her presidency, Dr. Haney has strengthened Moraine Valley鈥檚 academic portfolio and institutional growth. Under her leadership, the college secured $1.5 million in funding to renovate its Southwest Education Center in Tinley Park, expanding academic opportunities by offering the Basic Nurse Assistant (BNA) and Nursing programs at the extension center. These additions create health care education access for students throughout the region and address critical workforce needs in the local community.

Dr. Haney also has guided the institution to a five-year high in both credit hours and headcount enrollment, reflecting Moraine Valley鈥檚 reputation as a leading college for quality, affordable higher education. Furthermore, Dr. Haney has secured over $10 million in competitive grant funding under her leadership as president. Notably, the college received multiple grants from the National Science Foundation to expand pathways in cybersecurity and cyber intelligence鈥攆ields vital to the region鈥檚 economic and security infrastructure.

Before becoming president, Dr. Haney served as Moraine Valley鈥檚 vice president for Academic Affairs beginning in 2012, overseeing eight academic subdivisions, the Student Success Center and the college鈥檚 two extension centers. She also directed the implementation of the U.S. Department of Education鈥檚 Title III Strengthening Institutions Program Grant, which resulted in the renovation of the Education Center at Blue Island and the ability to offer four health care programs in that location.

Additional prior roles at Moraine Valley include dean of Science, Business and Computer Technology; dean of Liberal Arts; and dean of Academic Services. Dr. Haney鈥檚 earlier career includes faculty and administrative positions at Defiance College in Ohio, Norfolk State University in Virginia, and the University of Nevada鈥揜eno, where she served as university ombudsman for faculty and staff.

An active advocate for educational access, Dr. Haney served on the Board of Directors for Women Employed, Chicago, Illinois and currently participates on various committees for the Illinois Community College Board. She previously has served as regional representative for the National Council of Instructional Administrators and chair of the Southwest Metropolitan Higher Education Consortium Council of Chief Academic Officers.

Dr. Haney was recognized by Bowling Green State University in Ohio as the Graduate College Alumni of the Year in 2018. She was the recipient of the 2016 John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Award from the League for Innovation in the Community College and the college鈥檚 2016 Dr. Vernon O. Crawley Leadership Award. She is a graduate of The Thomas Lakin Institute for Mentored Leadership and League for Innovation in the Community College Executive Leadership Institute.

Dr. Haney holds a Ph.D. in Interpersonal Communication from Bowling Green State University. She earned both her M.A. in Speech Communication and B.A. in Mass Communication from Norfolk State University.
